A new project involves a rather brilliant solution to start the road to Cloud Computing freer and safer for users. Also interesting for the developers, it frees them fairly on the whole issue of hosting applications and the initial costs that implies.

We can try to resolve some of the problems that arise from the “possession” by the SaaS provider of user data. And they can be separated by the data applications .

People prefer to use web applications instead of desktop, why? The point is that developers should not tell people what to use, but they must try to understand what they want and pass it .

The key is to provide cloud applications, but allowing users to maintain control over their data , or at least they are not monopolized by the application platform.

To do this, an application “unhosted” (translation “evicted” sounds a bit marginal …) remains on a dedicated server with just the source code. This code is executed on the user’s computer, and after encrypting the data, it is stored on another server, without passing through the server application code. Moreover, being encrypted, the server that hosts it has not come easy to access.

Furthermore, a user could use the application and save data on their own computer at home or at work. But the application would still be SaaS.

Do You know a similar project or to provide solutions to the issue of control of user data in cloud computing?
